Canyon de Chelly: An Intimate Portrait
Stephen worked with Laura Tohe on a book on Canyon de Chelly, in the Navajo Nation,
currently entitled Tséyi' / Deep in the Rock: Reflections on Canyon de Chelly. Laura is a Navajo poet and
short story writer and Professor of English at Arizona State University. Laura writes
about the canyon from the Navajo perspective, with stories concerning the history of the
canyon as well as Navajo life there today. This book
contains photographs taken in Canyon de Chelly over the last 25 years.
