Stephen worked with Laura Tohe on a book on Canyon de Chelly, in the Navajo Nation, currently entitled Tséyi' / Deep in the Rock: Reflections on Canyon de Chelly. Laura is a Navajo poet and short story writer and Professor of English at Arizona State University. Laura writes about the canyon from the Navajo perspective, with stories concerning the history of the canyon as well as Navajo life there today. This book contains photographs taken in Canyon de Chelly over the last 25 years.
